How we handle your details when we get in touch
Last updated: 31 October 2026
The short version
- We're Street Interviews Ltd. We make street-interview videos and ads for brands.
- If we emailed you, it's because your job involves marketing, brand, social or partnerships, and we think our work could be useful to your company.
- We only use work details: your name, job title, company and work email. Never anything sensitive.
- We never sell your data, and we don't track whether you open our emails.
- Want us to stop? Reply "no thanks" or email [email protected]. We'll stop straight away and never email you again.

1. Who we are
Street Interviews Ltd ("we", "us") is the controller of the personal data described here. We're a company registered in England and Wales, company number 13842847.
Office: 5th Floor, 167-169 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PF.
Privacy contact: [email protected].
We're a small business, so we're not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer. Our co-founders are responsible for data protection, and every privacy email is read by a person.
2. Who this notice covers
This notice covers people we contact or speak to about our services: people at brands and agencies we email or message on LinkedIn, people who reply to us, and people who book or join a call with us.
If you're just browsing our website, our website privacy and cookie policy applies instead.
3. What we hold about you
- Who you are at work: name, job title, company, and the country you work in.
- Work contact details: work email address and, sometimes, your public LinkedIn profile link.
- Public information about your company: for example news, product launches or campaigns, which we use to make our email relevant.
- Our conversations: emails between us, whether you replied, whether you asked us to stop, and notes of any call.
- Call details, if you book a call: what you enter when booking, and a recording and transcript of the call if you're happy for us to record it (see section 7).
We don't collect sensitive ("special category") data, such as health, religion or political views, and we don't knowingly contact anyone under 18.
4. Where we got it from
If we contacted you first, we didn't get your details from you. They came from:
- business contact databases, mainly Apollo.io, and occasionally AI-Ark;
- public sources: your company's website, LinkedIn, Companies House and published news;
- email-checking tools that confirm a work address is valid before we use it.
We tell you this in, or linked from, the first email we send you.
5. Why we use it and our lawful basis
| What we do | Lawful basis (UK GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Email or message people at businesses about our video and ad services (business-to-business direct marketing) | Legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f): growing our business by offering relevant services to companies |
| Research your company so our message is relevant, and check your work email is valid | Legitimate interests |
| Reply to you, arrange a call, and send a proposal if you ask for one | Taking steps you've asked for before a contract, Article 6(1)(b), or legitimate interests |
| Record and review sales calls, if you agree, so we don't miss anything | Legitimate interests (you can say no at any time) |
| Keep a "do not contact" list so we never email you again after you opt out | Legitimate interests and our legal duty to respect your objection |
| Deal with legal claims or questions from regulators | Legitimate interests and legal obligation, Article 6(1)(c) |
Balancing your interests with ours. We've done a written legitimate interests assessment. In short: we only contact people whose role makes our services relevant, we only use work details, our emails are short and few (no more than four, then we stop), and every email makes it easy to opt out. You can ask us for a copy of the assessment.
We don't use your data for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you, and we don't sell it or share it for others' marketing.
6. The email rules we follow
Marketing emails in the UK are covered by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) as well as UK GDPR. We follow them:
- We only send unrequested emails to work addresses at companies (corporate subscribers).
- We don't send unrequested marketing to personal email addresses, sole traders or partnerships without consent.
- Every email says who it's from and gives you a simple way to opt out.
- We don't hide who we are, and we don't use open or click tracking in our outreach emails.
- Once you opt out, we add you to our "do not contact" list straight away, across every inbox we send from.
7. Calls with us
When you book a call, the booking tool (Calendly) collects your name, email and anything you choose to add. We may record and transcribe calls (using Fathom) so we can focus on you rather than taking notes, and we use AI tools to help summarise our notes. We tell you before we record, and the notetaker shows in the call. If you'd rather we didn't, just say so and we won't. Recordings stay inside our business and are never shared or published.
8. Who we share it with
Only with the service providers that help us run our outreach, who act on our instructions under contract:
| Provider | What for | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Instantly | Sending our emails and managing replies and opt-outs | US |
| Apollo.io, AI-Ark | Business contact data and email checks | US |
| HubSpot | Keeping track of our conversations (CRM) | US / EU |
| Google Workspace | Email, calendar, video calls and documents | US / EU |
| Calendly | Booking calls | US |
| Fathom | Call recording and transcripts (only if you agree) | US |
| Anthropic (Claude) | AI help with summarising notes and drafting replies | US |
| If we connect or message you there | US / Ireland |
We may also share data with our professional advisers (such as lawyers and accountants), with a buyer if our business is ever sold, or with authorities when the law requires it.
9. Data outside the UK
Some of our providers store data in the US or EU. Where data goes outside the UK, we make sure it's protected by a UK "adequacy" decision (which covers the EU and US companies certified to the UK Extension of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or by the UK's approved contract terms (the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum). You can ask us for details.
10. How long we keep it
| Situation | How long |
|---|---|
| We emailed you and you didn't reply | Deleted within 12 months of our last email |
| You replied or we spoke, but didn't work together | Up to 2 years after our last contact |
| Call recordings and transcripts | Deleted within 12 months, unless you become a client |
| You became a client | 6 years after the contract ends, for legal and tax reasons |
| You asked us to stop | Only your email address and the date, kept on our "do not contact" list, so we never contact you again |
11. Your rights
- Object to marketing: you can tell us to stop at any time, for any reason, and we must stop. Just reply "no thanks".
- Object to other uses based on legitimate interests.
- Access: ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
- Correction: ask us to fix anything that's wrong.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your data. (We'll keep just your email on our "do not contact" list if you want no more emails, so we don't contact you by mistake.)
- Restriction and portability: ask us to pause using your data, or to give it to you in a usable format, where these apply.
To use any of these, email [email protected]. It's free, and we'll reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm who you are first.
12. Keeping it safe
Only our team can see your data. Our tools use secure log-ins with two-step verification where available, and we choose providers with strong security. We keep as little as we need, and delete it on the schedule above.
13. Questions and complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've used your data, please tell us first at [email protected]. We'll confirm we've received your complaint within 30 days and aim to fix it quickly.
You can also complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, 0303 123 1113, or Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.
14. Changes to this notice
We'll update this page if the way we use data changes, and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be shown here clearly.
