1. Our approach

This statement covers our website at streetinterviews.co.uk. We want as many people as possible to be able to use it. Our aim is that you can:

  • zoom in without the content becoming hard to use;
  • move around the site using a keyboard;
  • use the site with a screen reader and other assistive technology;
  • read text that contrasts clearly with its background; and
  • use the site on a phone, tablet or computer.

To help with this, our pages include a "Skip to content" link, a clear heading structure and descriptive link text where possible. We also aim to give meaningful images a text description.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

2. The standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Our website is partially conformant with this standard. This means that some parts don't fully meet it yet. These are listed in section 3.

3. Known limitations

We know that some parts of our website aren't fully accessible:

  • Videos: some older videos may not have captions, transcripts or audio description. Some videos include fast cuts or on-screen text that may be hard to follow.
  • Moving content: some parts of the site include video or motion that starts automatically.
  • Images of text: some logos and graphics contain text that isn't available as plain text.
  • Third-party content: tools provided by other companies, such as our video player, cookie banner and booking page, may not be fully accessible (see section 6).
  • Documents: some documents we share, such as proposals or decks, may not be fully accessible.

We are working to fix these issues where we can. If any of them affect you, please contact us (see sections 4 and 5).

4. Getting information in another format

If you need information from our website in a different format, such as plain text, large print, a transcript of a video, or a description of an image, please email [email protected] with "Accessibility" in the subject line. We'll consider your request and get back to you as soon as we reasonably can.

5. Reporting a problem

If you find a problem that isn't listed here, or you think we're not meeting accessibility requirements, please email [email protected] with "Accessibility" in the subject line. It helps if you tell us:

  • the web address (URL) of the page;
  • what the problem is; and
  • the device, browser and any assistive technology you use.

We'll use your feedback to improve the site.

6. Third-party content

Some content and tools on our website are provided by other companies, such as embedded videos, our cookie banner, booking pages and social media platforms. We choose providers carefully, but we don't control how accessible their tools are. If one of them causes you a problem, please tell us and we'll try to help, for example by giving you the same information another way.

As a service provider, we take our duties under the Equality Act 2010 seriously, including the duty to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people.

If you contact us about an accessibility problem and you're not happy with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) for advice.

8. How we check the site

We review the accessibility of our website when we make significant changes to it. We use a mix of automated checks and manual review, and we act on feedback from the people who use the site.

9. About this statement

This statement was prepared on 1 November 2026. We review it when we make significant changes to our website, and at least once a year.
